minutesEasy to make tasty dog treats with peanut butter and pumpkin are a favorite with many Crü members! Pumpkin adds some fiber and a taste that dogs enjoy!

Ingredients
2 1/2 cups 2 1/2 Whole wheat flour
2 ea 2 Eggs
1/2 cup 1/2 Canned pumpkin
2 tblsp 2 Peanut butter (be sure there is no Xylitol or artificial sweeteners of any kind)
1/2 tsp 1/2 Salt
1/2 tsp 1/2 Ground cinnamon (optional – remember cinnamon in large amounts can cause GI issues in dogs)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350*
- Whisk together flour. eggs, pumpkin, peanut butter, salt and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Add water as needed to help keep dough wrokable, but the dough should be dry and stiff.
- Roll the dough into 1/2 inch thick roll. Cut into 1/2″ pieces.
- Place on cookie sheet and bake in preheated oven until hard – about 40 minutes.
Notes
- As a reminder – always check all ingredients to ensure Xylitol or other artificial sweeteners are never used! Some peanut butter now contains Xylitol and its extremely toxic to dogs. Ingesting a small amount can cause major health issues and even death. Always check with your veterinarian for your dogs specific dietary needs.
