Ingredients
2 cups 2 Whole wheat flour
1 cup 1 Rolled oats
1 tblsp 1 Dried parsley flakes (or 2 tbs fresh chopped parsley)
2 ea 2 Large eggs
1/2 cup 1/2 Water
1/2 cup 1/2 Non fat dry milk
1 cup 1 Peanut Butter (use a limited ingredient brand with NO artificial sweeteners or Xylitol)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 300*
- In a large bowl, whick together all of the dry ingredients
- In a smaller bowl, beat the eggs lightly. Add water and peanut butter.
- Gently combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.
- Knead with your hands until you have a smooth ball of dough. Add a little water if dough is too dry as needed. You can also use a mixer for faster results.
- Roll the dough to flatten. Use a cookie cutter to cut into shapes. Or pull off into 1″ pieces and press flat to create cookies slightly larger than a quarter.
- Use parchment paper or a non stick cookie sheet and place cut pieces on sheet.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. For softer treats – preferred by senior dogs – bake for 5-10 less minutes.
