hourThese apple cinnamon dog treats are tasty and small amounts of cinnamon can help reduce inflammation – so can be helpful for pups with arthritis. (Never use more cinnamon than suggested. Small amounts of cinnamon are safe for dogs but larger amounts can cause GI issues in some pups. Always check with your vet to review your pets personal needs.

Ingredients
1 cup 1 Natural applesauce or chopped apple (be sure there are NO artificial sweeteners like Xylitol used in the applesauce)
1 tsp 1 Cinnamon (do not use more)
1 tbsp 1 Parsley
1 cup 1 Cold water
1/2 cup 1/2 Coconut oil
5 cup 5 Brown Rice flour
1/2 cup 1/2 Powdered milk or dry, uncooked cream of wheat
2 ea 2 Large eggs
Directions
- This recipe calls for the mixture to be refrigerated for at least 1 1/2 hours or overnight. So preheat oven once mixture has been cooled.
- Preheat oven to 300*
- Mix all dry ingredient’s in a bowl.
- In a smaller bowl, beat the eggs lightly. Add water, coconut oil and applesauce.
- Combine the dry and wet ingredients in large bowl.
- Knead together with your hands or mixer.
- Roll the mixture and cut into shapes using a mold or roll into small balls and press flat.
- Use parchment paper or a nonstick cookie sheet. Place cut pieces on the cookie sheet.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. For softer treats preferred by Senior dogs – cook 5-10 minutes less.

Notes
- Always ensure ingredients used never contain artificial sweeteners – like Xylitol. Xylitol is extremely toxic to pets and ingesting a small amount can cause death.
