Ingredients
1 lb 1 Boneless Chicken Breasts
Directions
- Preheat over to 200*
- Cut the chicken breasts into filets about 1/8″ thick
- Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick spray
- Lay the cut chicken strips on the cookie sheet
- Bake for approx. 2 hours – turning the chicken strips every 30 minutes
- You’ll know that they are done when the strips are a golden brown color on both sides and they have been completely dried out.
You can take one out of the oven to test the texture. If the chicken strip bends without breaking, they aren’t done. If you can snap small pieces off, they’ve cooked long enough.

Notes
- Not only are these jerky treats healthy, they are SO easy to make. They require more time than most dog treat recipes, but that’s because you have to bake them for at least 2 hours.
- You can use other protein sources as well – such as beef, venison, duck, etc.
- Always check with your vet on protein selections that meet your dogs specific needs.
- Do not over cook or store for more than 2 weeks. The jerky can become very brittle and hard posing choking or digestion risks to some dogs.
